- Make sure the SDK and VRChat are logged into the same account, and look for the avatar there

What you see on screen:
(No error - the avatar isn't in your list, or friends see a gray robot, fallback or impostor)
What it means
Split it into two cases: (1) you can't find it yourself, or (2) you see it but others see something else. Others get a replacement when your avatar is above their Minimum Displayed Performance Rank, over their file size limit, has no version for their platform (e.g. no Android version for Quest users), failed security checks, or is hidden by their Safety settings.
Common causes
- You uploaded with a different account in the SDK
- You uploaded from a Unity version newer than VRChat supports - VRChat says such content won't appear in menus
- The viewer is on Quest/Android and there's no Android version
- Quest/Android hides Poor and Very Poor avatars by default (minimum rank Medium); PC shows everything up to Very Poor by default
- Over the viewer's file size limit
- Security Checks Failed
- The viewer's Safety settings hide avatars at your Trust Rank, or they hid you manually
How to fix it
- Make sure the SDK and VRChat are logged into the same account, and look for the avatar there
- Check your Unity version against VRChat's current requirement and re-upload with the right one
- If Quest friends see a robot or impostor, upload an Android version to the same Blueprint ID and get it to Medium or better
- If the thumbnail has an X, see the Security Checks Failed page
- Ask a friend to select you and press Show Avatar - if it appears, the cause is their rank, size or Safety settings, not your upload
