What you see on screen:
All compiler errors have to be fixed before you can enter playmode!
What it means
A script somewhere in the project has a red error, so you can't enter Play mode or upload. This message itself is not the cause - the real error is elsewhere in the Console.
Common causes
- A required package (VRChat SDK, Modular Avatar, lilToon, etc.) is not installed
- A package version doesn't match what the avatar or outfit requires
- An old SDK left in the Assets folder is conflicting with the new one
How to fix it
- Open the Console, press Clear, and read the first red error that remains
- Install or update the package named in the error (VRC, nadena, lilToon, etc.) using VCC (VRChat Creator Companion) or ALCOM
- If an old SDK folder such as Assets/VRCSDK is still there, back up the project and delete it
Before you change anything, make a full copy of your project folder so you can go back.
