What it means

Only parameters with "Synced" turned on in Expression Parameters are sent to other players. If Synced is off, or the parameter isn't in the list at all, the change only happens on your screen.

Common causes

• "Synced" is off for that parameter in Expression Parameters
• The parameter is used in the animator but isn't registered in Expression Parameters
• The parameter name differs in upper/lower case between the menu and the animator
• The setup uses IsLocal to show something only to yourself
• The other person has hidden your avatar or blocked animations in their Safety settings

How to fix it

1. Open Avatar Descriptor > Expressions > Parameters and check "Synced" for that parameter
2. Make sure the name is exactly the same in the menu, animator and parameters
3. Check the synced total stays within 256 bits (bool = 1 bit, int/float = 8 bits)
4. Upload again and ask a friend to check

Before you change anything, make a full copy of your project folder so you can go back.
